Asian IG Dollar Bonds Continue to Offer Notable Yields

Dollar bonds of Asia investment grade (IG) issuers continue to offer notable yields in the backdrop of the fall in Treasury yields, as markets expect the Fed rates to ease due to cooling economic data. With the 5Y US Treasury yield at about 3.70%, several issuers’ dollar bonds ranging from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan etc. continue to offer yields of over 5%, implying a spread of over 130bp. Keeping this in mind, we have compiled a list of 25 such Asian IG issuers’ bonds maturing within the next five years, with an amount outstanding of over $500mn, with only one bond per issuer to have a diverse list of bonds.
