Singapore’s Olam Group announced the sale of its IT and digital services subsidiary, Mindsprint, to India’s Wipro for $375mn (S$483mn). The transaction is part of Olam’s ongoing corporate reorganization aimed at unlocking long-term value by divesting non-core assets. Net proceeds from the sale are expected to be distributed to shareholders via special dividends. As part of the agreement, Olam has committed to an $800mn contract with Wipro for eight years, to manage its technology and shared services. This partnership will leverage artificial intelligence to modernize Olam’s entire “farm-to-fork” supply chain. Mindsprint will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wipro upon the deal’s expected completion by end-June 2026. Mindsprint’s current leadership team will remain in place to ensure stability.
Olam’s 5.375% Perp was trading stable at 100.2, yielding 4.6%.
