Brazilian plane maker Embraer reported a 2024 net profit of over BRL 2.6bn ($450mn), nearly eight times higher than the previous year, driven by record sales. In 2024, the company delivered 206 aircrafts, including 73 commercial jets, 130 executive jets, and three military planes, up from 181 in 2023. Revenues reached nearly BRL 35.4bn ($6.1bn), the highest ever. In 2023, the company had emerged from the red to record a net profit of BRL 333mn ($57.1mn). The company’s order backlog reached a record BRL 153bn ($26.3bn) by end-2024, up 40% YoY. Earlier this month, Embraer had secured a $7bn order from Flexjet. Embraer was upgraded as a rising star, to IG status by Moody’s and Fitch last year.
Its dollar bonds continued to trade positive with its 7% 2030s bond up by nearly 2.5 points during the month to 107.2, yielding 5.38%.
