Boeing announced it will sell parts of its Digital Aviation Solutions business, including navigation unit Jeppesen, to private equity firm Thoma Bravo at a valuation of $10.55bn. The deal, aimed at reducing Boeing’s debt, is one of the largest recent carve-out transactions. Boeing will retain core digital services related to fleet maintenance and diagnostics. Jeppesen, acquired by Boeing in 2000 for $1.5bn, was highly sought after and valued at roughly 16x its projected 2025 EBITDA. The sale is backed by a $4bn loan package and is expected to close by end-2025. Boeing is also pursuing other asset sales, including its drone business Insitu.
Boeing’s bonds traded stable with its 3.5% 2045s at 64.6, yielding 6.76%
