Argentina is due to pay $730mn to the IMF on Friday and another $365mn on Tuesday next week. Argentina’s government declared that it is willing to reach an agreement to pay in a sustainable manner, although there is no certainty that the payment will be done. Recently, Argentina’s economy Minister Martin Guzman criticized IMF’s proposal to reduce the country’s fiscal deficit, raising concerns among investors regarding the restructuring of $40bn in loans that the country has to pay to the IMF. Argentina´s presidential spokeswoman Gabriela Cerruti said, “What is going to happen, we will know in the next few hours.”
Argentina´s USD bonds have been falling with its 2.5% 2041s down 2.2 since last Friday to 30.5, yielding 11.54%
