NWD Bonds
New World Development (NWD) is a major Hong Kong-based property and infrastructure conglomerate with a strong presence in real estate, hospitality, and utilities. NWD issues bonds primarily in USD and HKD. Known for its growth-oriented strategy and diversified assets, NWD bonds are generally categorized as high-yield. In a significant development, NWD announced the deferral of interest payments on four of its perpetual bonds late on 30th May 2025. It plans to postpone coupon payments worth $77.2mn due June 2025, as per Bloomberg. Additionally, as per sources, NWD has priced the first batch of 101 apartments in its co-developed Deep Water Pavilia project at $2,668/sq.ft., the lowest rate for any residential project in the city’s posh Southern district.
