Singapore, 9 November 2023&nbsp;– Singapore-based Fintech&nbsp;<a href="https://bondblox.com/">BondEvalue Pte. Ltd</a>. has added new investor Beacon Venture Capital, the corporate venture arm of Thailand’s Kasikornbank, to its cap table as part of a US$6m Series B round. Beacon Venture Capital joins existing shareholders MassMutual Ventures and Citigroup who also participated in the round.&nbsp;Other investors include existing shareholders Potato Productions, a company helmed by entrepreneur Lee Han Shih, and Octava, a Singapore-based family office.&nbsp;The latest round follows a Series A raise of US$6m in 2021. This additional funding will allow the Company to scale BondbloX Bond Exchange (BBX), its digital exchange for trading fractional and full-size bonds, as well as grow its international expansion to Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in India, which recently went live.&nbsp;Powered by distributed ledger technology, BondbloX enables investors to buy and sell bonds in denominations of US$1,000 instead of the usual US$200,000, and through a public exchange where prices are highly transparent.&nbsp;BBX has seen strong interest from global clients since launching the platform to individual investors last month. From 2007 to 2021, he was Head of Market Infrastructure and FinTech Investments for Citi Global Markets. He managed a portfolio with a team of six people across New York, Singapore and London. The portfolio’s investment focus is on early and growth stage strategic investments in data and analytics, execution venues, trade processing, clearing, settlement, connectivity, communication and high-performance computing companies. Bill served as a director on the boards of Tradeweb and Markit Group (IHS Markit now part of S&amp;P Global) for seven years prior to those companies going public. Other board directorships included Ipreo, The Clearing Corporation (now ICE CDS Clearing), OTC Derivnet (LCH Swapclear), FX Global Clear, Symphony and QC Ware. During his tenure, the team made investments in blockchain-based tech companies Digital Asset Holdings, Axoni, Symbiont, R3 and BondEvalue.Bill retired from Citi in mid-2021 to move west to Salt Lake City with his wife to enjoy the skiing and hiking in the Wasatch mountains.

Singapore-based fintech BondEvalue has raised US$6 million in its Series A round of fund raising, with MassMutual Ventures Southeast Asia and Citigroup among the new investors. Both institutions are expected to be represented on the board.The latest round brings the total raised by the company to US$10 million and affirms investor confidence as its digital exchange for trading fractionalised bonds continues to gain momentum.Other investors included existing shareholders Potato Productions, a company helmed by entrepreneur Lee Han Shih, and Octava, a Singapore-based family office.BondEvalue was established in 2016 to provide electronic bond trading and to make bond investments accessible to a wider group of individual investors. Last October, it received a Recognised Market Operator (RMO) approval from the Monetary Authority of Singapore to operate BondbloX Bond Exchange, the world’s first fractional bond exchange.The company’s proprietary technology and enterprise-grade blockchain enables BondbloX investors to buy and sell bonds in denominations of US$1,000 instead of the usual US$200,000, and through a public exchange where prices are highly transparent.BondEvalue Co-Founder and CEO Rahul Banerjee said: “Citi and MassMutual are behemoths in the bond market.
